They will learn to perform energy audits in pre-existing homes using state-of-the-art tests and equipment which will allow them to recommend the most cost-effective way for homeowners to save money on heating and cooling bills. The certification will involve seven all-day classes, including lectures and work on actual homes. There is also one day of written and field testing, along with ongoing mentoring and quality assurance checks following certification.
